  • Schedule: 7AM to 4PM Monday to Friday
What’s a typical day as a HR Generalist? You will:
Summary: Reporting to the Human Resources Director, this role will serve as the main Human Resources contact at CertainTeed. This position will play an active role in providing full-cycle human resources support to the plant, which includes the areas of recruitment, employee & labor relations, performance management, payroll and compensation, benefits, and HR administration. This role is important in executing the Company’s people initiatives, providing great internal customer support, driving HR functional excellence, and process improvement for all populations within the manufacturing site.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities for the day-to-day human resource function include interpretation of policies, procedures and programs related to employment, compensation, benefits, performance management, and employee relations.
This job might be an outstanding fit if you have:
• A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field is required
• 3-5 years of Human Resources Generalist experience.
• Needs a comprehensive understanding of employment legislation and regulations.
• Experience with leave management, compensation, and benefits.
• Solid knowledge of HR computer software programs and systems (PeopleSoft) as well as Microsoft Office is required.
• Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Must demonstrate a proper sense of urgency, decisiveness, integrity, and ability to make appropriate decisions.
• Must possess the ability to communicate plant operations to all levels within the plant.
• Must have the ability to interact and work effectively with all level of the organization, including executive management.
• Bilingual/Spanish Speaking is a plus.
